PUIN040-2

A convex shape made of Jewel beetles shields (elytra) from Thaïland -Sternocera Aequisignata- Two E27 light bulbs sheds their light upon the wall. This wood-boring beetle can be found through Thailand, Myanmar up to India. It was common in some of the ancient refined cultures of Burma and Thailand to attach beetlewing pieces as an adornment to textiles and jewelry.Their Life span as adults is short (around 3 weeks), they are focused on a fast reproduction. They are traditionally eaten deep fried in the night markets of Northern Thailand and Myanmar. We work with several restaurants that regularly ship us this part that is too hard to eat...
