Sulfur on Aragonite from Sicilia -Italie-
PUMI1944
Native Sulfur crystals from the Cozzo Disi mine in Sicily. The largest island in the Mediterranean is home to Etna, a still active volcano. These magnificent crystals stand on a white Aragonite matrix. This mine has been closed for more than 20 years, but since the bigining in 1839, the vast majority of sulphur has always been crushed to produce gunpowder. But the most beautiful Italian crystals often come from this mine.
