Large slice of a natural vein of Hawk’s eye. This very dark type with glittering blue-green tones, of the famous South African mineral: the Tiger eye. Polished one side on black base, this stone has the ability to reflect light like a cat's eye. It is due to the fibers of Crocidolite (a type of asbestos), that has been replaced by Silicate millions of years ago This type of mineral is often used ,polished, in jewelery. When the fibers are more in yellow tones than blue, it is called Tiger Eye (MI125).
