Ammonite on brass stand (2 parts)
PUFO425
This spectacular ammonite is a Cleoniceras Besairei from Madagascar that has been finely cleared in order to keep as much as possible the layer formed by the shell that surrounds this prehistoric shell. The lack of acidity in the sedimentation medium allowed to preserve the beautiful mother-of-pearl that this shell had, hence the magnificent iridescent colors. But what is remarkable is the crystallization in caramel calcite that occupies all the chambers of this ammonite. This ammonite lived in the Cretaceous 110 million years ago. Sold as a pair.
