Agate slice from Brazil on brass base

Golden agate from Brazil, on brass base. Cut into thin slices, it becomes translucent and lets light pass through. It is also quite remarkable in photo 5: it will make this effect whenever it is in front of a window or other light source... Its composition is rare because it has "filled" around nucleus, and water charged with iron oxides, among other things, deposited a layer at each big change of temperature, by evaporation. A true textile pattern.
