This naturally golden metal is a block made up of hundreds of thousands of magnificent dodecahedral crystals (with twelve faces), which have been given the name of Pyritohedra. This 30 kg mineral comes from Peru. The small crystals are sometimes welded together, sometimes clearly detached, even creating small "caves" entirely gilded. Pyrite is a mineral composed of iron sulphide (FeS) and is often called "fools gold" because of its similarity with gold. Even if it is not gold, the attractive power of this glittering mass is undeniable.
