This clear crystal is French and comes from a locality named Caresse ( caress )! It is a complete crystal of Gypsum from south west of france. The great transparency , despite the 6cm thickness, of this huge crystal is the signature of the best pieces unearthed in this mine. A proof? on the group picture, it's the one that is left on the striped jacket of Pierre: not easy to see! On brass stand.
