The New Curiosities: Trash Can Lid Colonized by Spondylus

PU1194

This plastic trash lid, ended up in the sea, and was discovered during a dive in the Philippines. It was colonized by two colorful spondylus and a barnacle, turning a simple piece of waste into an unexpected marine curiosity. At first glance, one might think it’s an ethnic sculpture, but this arrangement is actually the result of chance and the resilience of marine life.
Without any artifice, this raw object prompts us to reflect on how nature adapts to human presence, transforming our waste into shelters for marine organisms.
A unique piece, with a story as surprising as it is irreverent.
