This agate slice, from the Brazilian deposits, is distinguished by its crystallized heart surrounded by a harmonious alternation of layers of agate in very soft tones. The crystals in the centre are bright, contrasting with the regular agate bands, which are much more contrasted when light passes through them (picture 7 and 8).
This natural contrast between the crystal structure and the layers of agate testifies to the millions of years necessary for the formation of this piece. Mounted on a brass base, it captures the light and reveals another facet of its beauty, perfect to attract the eye in a refined space.
