PUMI2534-5
This 85-gram meteorite comes from the Dronino site, located in the Ryazan district of Russia. Discovered by chance in 2000, this meteorite belongs to the class of ataxites, renowned for their exceptional composition of kamacite, an alloy of iron (approximately 93%) and nickel (7%), found only in meteorites. Its fall, estimated to have occurred before the 12th century, left nearly three tons of fragments buried underground, remarkably preserved over centuries.
