Phantom quartz from Madagascar on black base

This polished tip of Rock Crystal comes from Madagascar.It is a crystal of great transparency, which allows to see a rare phenomenon: the phantom of the crystal former shape. The tip that is guessed on the top of the crystal, and which was included in the final crystal. In this case, the crystal stopped growing, there was a hematite deposit (red) on one side and an actinolite deposit (black) on the other side. Then when the crystal started growing again, sometimes several millon years later, these colored deposits were included in the crystal that you can take in your hands.
