Giant hermit crab from Cebu, under glass.
PU1185-6
Originally from the tropical waters of Cebu, in the Philippines, this white-spotted hermit crab (Dardanus megistos) is one of the largest of its species. Recognizable by its legs adorned with white spots, it found refuge in a Tonna Galea (tuned whelk), offering impressive natural protection. This rare specimen is displayed under a glass dome, with a discreet industrial-style base, highlighting the contrast between raw nature and a refined, contemporary presentation.
