This geode of Agate from Uruguay has been completely polished on the outside and this brings out this beautiful blue/grey colour, but the inner colour is not blue but rather red-orange: a deposit of hematoid quartz has covered the fine crystals inside this geode. A thin layer of quartz mixed with iron oxide and extremely bright, which makes this geode very contrasting, on its brass base.
