White coral ACROPORA LATISTELLA
CO970
This hard coral belongs to the species Acropora latistella, which grows between the surface and 5 metres deep—where sunlight is strongest. Like all acroporids, it relies on light to grow and must withstand the constant motion of shallow waters. A reef-builder built for waves.
Underwater, its appearance is modest: beige, sometimes with hints of purple polyps. But once cleaned, its calcareous skeleton reveals a striking structure—almost architectural in its whiteness.
Displayed on a black base.
This specimen comes with its CITES number, confirming its regulated origin.
