This stunning day butterfly comes from Madagascar. It is endemic to this island and its caterpillar, yellow with long black hairs, is toxic. Because it feeds only on a family of vines whose sap is toxic. It has incredible metallic colors and many lighter "tails". It migrates from the original forests of the west of the island, to those of the east of the island (almost 600 Km). This "capsule glass display" adds a mid-century touch to this natural beauty.
