dodecahedron Pyrite from Chispas (15 Kg)
PUMI2447
This form of Pyrite made of thousands of small shiny crystals is often named after the mine from which it comes: Chispas. It is in Mexico in the state of Sonora, just below Baja California that this mine was exploited for silver ore from 1880 to 1907. But since... some mineralogists know that if there is no more silver, there is "the fools gold"! Since it is also the nickname of this golden metal: the Pyrite. this 15 kg block is not really imposing, since it is metal and its weight would increse very fast, but it is particularly bright.
