Cubic PYRITE (Peru) – 1.3 kg
PUMI2740
In 2025, the Peruvian mine of Huanzala made it possible to harvest very large cubes of pyrite. This block features a remarkably sharp cube measuring nearly 7 cm along its edge — a size rarely observed in this mineral. Formed in hydrothermal veins, pyrite naturally crystallizes in cubic shapes due to the perfect symmetry of its atomic structure.
Its metallic sheen, with golden reflections, comes from its iron and sulfur composition — earning it the nickname “fool’s gold.”
A striking example of geometry in nature, this natural curiosity embodies both precision and brilliance. Ideal for a high-end mineral collection.
