This tip of transparent quartz has been carefully repolished to reveal this "ghost" inside: a second crystal frozen within the first, vestige of an interrupted growth, then resumed What makes it visible is a deposit of chlorite that left a thin green layer on the tip of the "young crystal" before it resumed its growth, perhaps even several centuries later.
