5 Imperial Spondylus under ball glass
PU1128-1
The Imperial Spondylus, Spondylus imperialis, is a species of bivalve mollusc native to tropical waters of the Pacific Ocean. These shells are found mainly in coral reefs and shallow seabed. They are characterized by their thorny outer shells. The reason for this is simple: they try to protect themselves from attacks from starfish that use their arms to force them to open. But with these thorns: no more. This variety comes from southern India and Sri Lanka.
