This jagged silhouette is the heart of a shell: the Lambis truncata which comes from the Bay of Bengal. The shell is massive and biconic, heavy and thick. The labre of the shell has six digitiform extensions. it’s this very visible crown against the light. The strombus are herbivores, and move by small jumps on their horny scythe-shaped operculum. It is a slow-growing species with a long life.
