Michigan specularite
PUMI2253
Specular hematite, sometimes called "specularite" is a highly reflective, "glittery" form that consists of many small flakes of hematite. Micaceus hematite or hematite that forms in thin, stacked sheets resembling mica, is the same thing as specular hematite but is more metamorphosed. Both types can actually classified as hematite schists. This stone has been polished on one side and lacquered to keep the shine of the "wet look". This impressive 37 cm high block allows you to literally lose yourself in a starry sky. Sparkling and spectacular.
