Tin and lead explosion from Paris roofs under glass
PUMI2552-2
The zinc roofs of Paris are famous for their beautiful grey colour. And the craftsmen who create or repair them, the tinsmith-roofers, use a tin-lead alloy to make these roofs waterproof. But when they prepare the fchimneys and other bull's eye windows in their workshop, sometimes they cool an excess of solder in water. Depending on the temperature, chance can bring out magic: a sculpture, always different. This strange sculpture under a glass globe, is the work of a Parisian tinsmith-roofer... and chance!
