This white Goose, lives in South America only, from the Cape Horn in the south up to the Rio Negro in Argentina. They feed only on grass and prefer plains than montains. They give birth in automn in the South, and fly North after that. In this species only the males have that distinctive black and white suit, and they mate for a lifetime. A very faithful bird! Scientific name: Chloephaga picta. This specimen comes from a zoo in Arcachon.
