Who would have believed it? The Camel -so the one with two humps- the camel of Bactriane, had a carnivorous ancestor! And clearly, he kept impressive canines. Native to dry deserts, it is found in Mongolia and Eastern Russian and Western China. Accustomed to rare food, it can even feed on bones or skin of dead animals in the desert. Today there are only 1000 wild camels left. This one was domestic.
