When one has an old collection, reflecting a lifetime of mineral exploration, it is not always easy to identify specimens without knowing where they come from. These pink crystals that form gentle hills could easily be pink fluorines on Calcite, as found on Mont Blanc, near Chamonix. It is in any case a mineral with rounded shapes, despite the hundreds of crystals that bristle it. and a superb pastel color.
