Pair of slices of green Aragonite from Spain.
PUMI1954
Aragonite is a form of Calcium Carbonate, and it can be seen in a pure white form, or often a nice orange color. But this green variety is rarer, and it comes from the Spanish mine of Mina La Profunda, in the province of Castile and Leon. This beautiful green color comes from water infiltrations in contact with copper ore. These two large polished slices seem almost to form two faces that look at each other. A coincidence of Spanish nature.
