This matt glass vase is finally not do black... It is partly covered with a curious but refined material made of Jewel beetles shields from Thaïland -Sternocera Aequisignata- Iridescent metallic shield of this wood-boring beetle. It can be found through Thailand, Myanmar up to India. It was common in some of the ancient refined cultures of Burma and Thailand to attach beetlewing pieces as an adornment to textiles and jewelry.Their Life span as adults is short (around 3 weeks), they are focused on a fast reproduction, and the collectors catch are not revealant on their numbers, so far.
