Specular hematite, sometimes called "Specularite" is a highly reflective, "glittery" form that consists of many small flakes of hematite. You could pretend it is the favourite stone of Unicorns...It formed in thin, stacked sheets resembling mica. It can actually be classified as hematite schists. This piece comes from the Republic mine in Michigan - US. It has been varnished to impress you, but even the back that remain natural will astonish you.
