Campo del cielo flying meteorite in brass mechanism

This grey stone has an incredible story. It has been discovered in Argentina, but it is coming from outer space ! It's a Siderit -a meteorit containing an alloy of iron and nickel: Kamacite. An alloy that doesn't exist on earth- it was the core of an asteroid. But we still don't know where it comes from... This meteorite has been reported for the first time by the Spanish conquistadores when they invaded Argentina in 1576. But after dating, using carbon 14, the trees that where mashed under the meteorite, it has been discovered that it fell on earth more than 4000 years ago.
