Apatite can be found in green to blue, but the nicest blue Apatite are like this one: a view above a roaring ocean. Coming from an hydrothermal origin, and forming in veins, it is a calcium phosphate. And most often a Fluorapatite, as it contain Fluorite. But the comercial name remains Blue Apatite... Historically, the name "apatite" has roots in ancient Greek, meaning "deceive", because of its similarity with other minerals (especially with barite).
