This black agate from Brazil is natural. The water that infiltrated this ancient geode for thousands of years was more or less loaded with manganese and iron. It is what gave these dark tones all around, the heart crystallized in rock crystal. Cut into thin slices, it becomes translucent and lets light through. Very graphic. Of course you could see a face, but at first it’s only a slice of a remarkable geode...
